1N4007 (Diode)

The 1N4007 diode is a general-purpose silicon rectifier used to convert AC to DC, block reverse current, and protect circuits from voltage spikes. It handles up to 1 Ampere of forward current and 1,000 Volts of peak reverse voltage.

HOW IT WORKS

The 1N4007 Diode works by permitting electrical current to flow in only one direction. It features two terminals—the anode (positive side) and the cathode (marked with a gray or white band)—and converts alternating current (AC) into direct current (DC) by blocking reverse voltage up to 1,000 volts while handling up to 1 ampere of forward current.
